Happy Halloween...Alzehimers update

T o all my blogger friends have a spooky Saturday .Update on my Alzheimers managed to do coffee morning well 2 hrs but rasied £75.oo so thankyou to all who donated .So if i can make that in 2hrs what can i make for the bazzar??

Candy Now Closed

Morning all well im still up north hoping to return home sunday.this depends on how mum is as shes very very poorly due to a fall last thursday.So have spent most of my holiday over by her side.This morning i am going to see my friend June who i meet up with when i come to Darlington,she also hasnt been well so will be lovely to see her.

Just before i go.....

Bit of a long post so sit down grab a cuppa ...lol. Well im all ready for the off being half term the girls and i are going to stay with dad ,and go visit mum,which will be nice as yeasterday suffered a fall and apparently has a face looking like she has done 3 rounds with Frank Bruno .Dad rang yesterday to say he popped in after she returned from A&E,he said if it was you or i wed be in pain and have huge headache .Because mum has alzhiemers they have given her pain killers regularly for next few days,As the staff keep saying to dad it looks painful and all mum can do when they look at is her smile and wave bless her .Hasn't unfortunately got a clue to what has happened didnt even know she had been to the hospital which is so sad surpose a blessing.They havent how ever showed her, her face and arent going to which is a good thing.But by the time i go visit on sunday im sure it will be out in bloom.
Well im all packed boxes of crafts to take down for the first Alzhiemers bazaar.
Then thursady eve just sat down with cuppa whilst packing stuff away my friend popped in with a couple of bits for me to take ,then asked if i could possibly make her a Halloween Door hanger and card to match for her son as hed love it and it is also his birthday on halloween.Just can't believe it 2nd time this week i have had to make the same card and project again which never normally happens as i do one off cards usually .So yesterday i got to work and before giving it to her yesterday forgot to take nice photo. (so the photo below is the one i previously made but exactly the same without the bag )
I would like to enter this into this weeks challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend Which this weeks theme is Fangtastic Halloween Cards so im going to enter this door hanger and card made for my friend Heide's son!Do hope you & he likes it.... hope so!
The door hanger i painted with good old Tesco acrylic copper paint this is great for craft projects and at a grand old price of 99p for bottle very good value these usually situated in kids crafts if anyone interested .The shimmer of the paint was ideal for my background for the black dracula decoupage that is then fixed to a tag.The door hanger itself is made from MDF.The card i used exactly the same decouapge tag design.the embellishments pumkins are from my stash from rak .
Well thankyou so much for all your lovely comments from my blogin friends i will this week while at dads hopefully have time to return the messages .As i wont have any crafting to do!So Will have to occupy my craft withdrawl with bloggin well my excuse im keeping to it!lol

I am at the moment taking part in a swap on the swap-bot site .I have to make 12 christmas cards to send for this swap all have to be hand made so i have just started and made one card this am that's going to Australia thats if royal mail permits....with on going strike.The card i dont often use tall cards but this was just what the doctor ordered for this card.The backing card is form Kanban which is lovely with embossed snowflakes.The digi image im unsure were i got that from but know it was a freebie and aint he cute!coloured with copics and snow.
The card i purchased last time i went shopping with my good friend June on my last visit to Dads.So i may just have to get some more this time when i go meet up with her again.See ya soon June!!!at least this time we shall try not to do any tutorials and distress a project whilst sat having a drink in the pub!OMG yep we did with my eldest daughter looking on all embarrased !The image on the card is a digi image yes my printer has returned from hospital Whey hey!!hope you like my cute penguin card too.

Another morning of crafting im trying to squeeze in as much as i can before we go up north on saturday even though i still have my youngest poorly at home.Another visit to Drs called for tonight as the anti-biotics just dont seem to have worked so will see what happens.Im trying to get bits finished to take with me for the bazaar and also had commission to do.Not enough hours in the day not enough fingers to cope...lol

Well i had an order( commission) for 12 cards all the same i dont think ive ever had to make the same card more than twice if that.This was for a lady who bought one from me that i was selling for the alzhiemers fund and then asked for the order .So at least i have made a wee bit of money for the fund plus at the same time made a lady very happy.

I was this am blogging and looking at the challenges for thursday on my list and noticed that Colour Create challenge this week is "ALL WHITE" the image can be in colour.

So i am entering this card into the challenge .the image has been mounted on white glitter card then on to gina k design luxury white card.Black kaiser pearls and a bow from my stash. Are the colour for my image well part of it ,The image itself is the cuttlebug famous christmas tree which i adore .The card is simple/ plain but with a touch of elegance don't you think?

Well i hope you like it as much as the lady i made them for does.

Morning all on this miserable damp thursday!Well just quick note to say thankyou to those who have sent in items for the Alzhiemers fund rasing i thank you from the bottom of my heart .I have emailed you all to say thanks thise that ive received .I know i havent received some that have been sent over 2 weeks ago i think we can put that down to good old royal mail or should i say bad old royal mail.Just dont get me started on this my views how dare they ask for Pay rise they should be grateful for what they've been offered and absolutely grateful they have ajob to go to in this time of the credit crunch ,right moan over happy things .

First Born Baby Projects

this is the first of a few post s today on this miserable wet dull damp day,but on a positive note ideal crafting day!

One Card Few Challenges

Well yesterday i had a full day of crafting and pleased to say got alot of cards completed for my alzhiemers fund Raising which the first one is in 2 weeks so fingers crossed it will be a successful day.

Halloween Birthday Card
I have been realy busy making and creating for a Halloween party .The Trick n Treat bag is image made with die cuts and Scary Door Hanger had been painted in copper acrylic paint then i have made a dracular tag to fix on the front and added couple pumpkins.The card above i have made for my daughters friend who's birthday is on Halloween she is a wee bit gothish so thought this would be great card for her birthday.Gorjuss girls image and coloured with copics.

Tutorial for Christmas Chocci holders

Finished product

I started off using A4 piece good qualtiy card Now you can do it one two ways .
Use A4 piece as it is ,if putting large items in or the version i did. which is below
Measure card it mucst be ;
Take A4 sheet measure as below and cut card to those measurements ands discard the latter never through away !!!!
(crafters keep everything...lol i do!)
Lenght 10"
width 7"
Now you must score the top at 1" then at 3".
The 2nd score line 3"one folds down don't cover this part with paper until finished .
1st score line at 1"fold up.
Next make circle i used woodware punch think 3inch one in same card and also 2 circles in same design paper.The blank piece of card needs covering ,you now cover with whatever d/paper you wish depending if these are for christmas,halloween or /easter as very versitile.should start to look abit like the piccys down below this post .
Next you will need some clear bags i used the card bags with self seal top large ones.Filled bag and the stuck top over & down .I then put under neath the 3in fold hold togther staple these 2 together only from inside.
Last cover your circles in desgin paper to match add an embellishment or whatever you like to middle .Line up and attache double sticky tape across back of circle and stick to middle of top fold.Hope fully should be ready to give .You can if it's for christmas on one side circle i put TO and the other side FROM.
lastly i added chocolate coins whitew but what i did was cut the ingredient tag off the shop bought bag and stuck on the back of holder .Theres so many kids with allergies that felt i was selling them at bazaar would be nice if they could see what was inside thenm just incase i advise this if you are giving to friends or selling at craft fairs .

Holiday Hello's

Well life has been hectic this p[ast fortnight seems ages since i last posted.Some how life gets in the way...lol.I am still not right with my mouth im starting to worry also as my anti-biotics finish tomorrow,im sick of eating mashy ptato and soup....lol and drinking cold coffee!Oh the thought of having a hot cuppa coffee!

Well i have been busy getting ready for the first Alzhiemers Bazaar which is nearly upon me .decorating Candles ,Making loads cards,altering bits n pieces also.

I have also made these cute cards above for a swap i am in on the Swob bot forums these are fantastic if you like swapping giving and receiving.These 2 wee cards i sent in with a holiday ribbon swap.All items used are from SU.

I will be back later on today with the tutorial for the Chocco Gift ideas i made as loads of you have been emailing me for sizes ect .So i will be back to upload later today.

Ive been spending ....

Well i treated myself to yet another craft trolley to hold 12x12 papers .Thought better get another so i can get my craft room sorted .So last night i sat and put together today i have the lovely job of filling it which wont be hard it;s the second bit i dont like the tidying of the craft room.I have 3 trolleys and out of all of them i think this is the best !!!

Thanks to Martine !! for thumbs up on this one .This is one you may have seen on Ebay as they sell them ,but i dont sell on ebay anymore .So i went on there got the email addy and emailed them in my best handwritting...lol and they were fab sent me pay pal invoice and bingo next day arrives on my doorstep by DHL.Service is second to none would higly recommend.

They are spreading awarness and support for

"Baby Loss Awareness Campaign 2009"this focuses on International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 15th

On Thursday at 7pm it's the Global Wave of Light. To join in if you have suffered a lose all you need to do is light a candle at 7pm in honour of the memory of your child.
There will be millions of candles twinkling across the world for our special babies, it's sad but so magical.

This is something very close to my heart and i have been doing since the loss of my son who was still born at full term(40weeks ).

If it wasnt for SANDS and the help we received counselling we were given i dont think i would have coped .

Morning girls well i have alittle something for you today away of saying sorry ive not blogged much this week and replied to all the lovely comments youve left.This is due to a inconsiderate tooth having an abcess.So im afraid pill popping has been the order of the week,eventually the little tooth got removed and i ended up with abcess still there .Hence the pill popping to relieve the pain and well you could say not on this planet....lol god knows where i was not with it i know that .

So to celebrate my tooth coming out i have a wee candy for you today only .So all you have to do is leave your name here and i will be back tomorrow with the winner

Halloween......Trick or treat...Challenges

Well i started these on world Cardmaking day and have just finished them .I have made the candy holders that i made for the Christmas Chocci Treats,except using Halloween Papers

and coloured card.The trick ntreat bag was made by my 12 year old .

This is my Creative Inspirational DT card on the take of the piccy above.I have used the lovely Autumn /Fall colours .Magnolia image coloured with Copics ,flowers from Prima and the lovely large padded brads form Queen & Co.The pine leaves are cut with maguils punch.

The lovely Asparagus Papers ,ribbons from stash ,sentiment was freebie off craft mag.
