Woyww ....Candy Results

Good Morning Woywwers yes flying by it is Wednesday and another day when all us addicts travel around the world to view all the lovely crafty desks. To see what everyone's upto. Thanks to the lovely Julia the brains behind this Wednesday Morning Ritual so pop over to the Stamping Ground and join in.

First of all i would just like to say big Thankyou for all my lovely Birthday Messages left l;ast Wednesday and also on friday when i turned 21again..lol it was so lovely made my day!im easy pleased. Also thanks so much for all the well wishes you sent my eldest daughter she is still poorly and the DR/GP is ringing everyday.which have to say makes a change !The results came back and she has got Salmonella Poisoning which is also affecting her Kidneys. So we are now on 3rd antibiotic, anti sickness pills plus pain killers. She is getting very down as shes not been out since 27th Dec when this hit her.she's nearly takeing as many pills as me daily.Keep making her smile saying gotta get you a medicine pot! What does really annoy me is the school are on my back first time shes been off they sending letters ringing me asking that we keep all drs appointment cards obviously to prove shes been to see them.So ive now going to send her back with all the empty pill packets and date them in letter .They soon get fed up as were up to 9 at the moment.Well will she be back monday i was asked yeaterday,so i just said how longs a piece of string !

So thats everything up to date oh my mojo returned on Monday not to the usual get up and craft but im trying to find sometime daily to craft where i can.

Well this is my desk this morning and the large tub is the gravy pot you may have seen on my desk last wednesday ready to be altered ,couple of books i have also started on altering never finished.

This piccy is to the left of my work desk and under that 12x12 is a DT project that i cant show until next week .But i have altered something to make a folder for my stamps.Thats all im saying...lol .The wee pinky wheel got free with homemaker mag and it is to make flowers with as you can see last night had wee play, but didnt get completed.

This is where everything gets pushed to the right of the desk...lol
My distressing tools which havent been put awayone of the altered books im finishing and a wooden round whihc ive just added distress stain onto and is drying for next project.

Thats my desk this week i will add photo of the gray pot as ive nearly finished altering it .so hopefully will upload later today.

Hurrah for all the winners, I pulled out my pile the other day and keep admiring I wondering what to play with first.

Sounds like your daughters school need someone with a tad of diplomacy thrown in, jeez tell them to look up salmonella on the internet and figure it out themselves!

Happy WOYWW Jude, and well done to the winners....

Glad to hear you've got a diagnosys for DD1 - send a letter to your school giving them permission to contact your doctor, or ask your doctor to write directly to the school, that ought to shut them up! I hope she starts feeling better soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats to all the winners Jude! I am sorry to hear your daughter has been sick! Schools are absolutely ridiculous and I would just get the doctor to write a return to school not and that will get them off your back. Thanks for sharing and have a great week! Vickie #50

Now love it that you are getting some time to craft, too and it is looking good! and then looked down and wow! I have some candy cannot believe it that is amazing!
So kind of you to add two extra names, Jude - or really three and thanks so much and big congrats to the others as well! thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW! love, Shaz in Oz. x #30

I saw once on a TV show that salmonella can be carried and communicated by lizards (like iguanas, popular pets nowadays) not just raw eggs. The moms at playgroup though I was mad not letting DS eat anything with raw eggs in it but this has always been a concern) I do hope she is better soon)

Happy WOYWW!

Sorry your daughter is still poorly but hope the antibiotics get the little blighters. I know salmonella is difficult to get rid of (my M-in-Law had it a few years ago and it took her a while to get better) and the symptoms are not pleasant. Hope she recovers more quickly now.
The school are being a pain, you have enough to cope with without their constant mythering. Tell them they are subjecting you and your daughter to unreasonable stress at a difficult time - that may quiet them down.
Thanks very much for picking out my name for the blog candy - what a thrill - will email you with details.

You reminded me I have that pink wheel thing, will have to have a look at it as I am operating a strict use it or lose it policy with my stash at the moment!

Your poor daughter. What a time she's had. I hope she gets better really soon. Sounds like you have a very strict school there, no what you need when she's so poorly.

Hi Jude, so sorry to hear that both you and your daughter have not been so well, particularly your daughter - she's had a terrible time of it, poor thing. Glad to hear you had a great birthday and that your mojo is creeping back. I had one of those flower-makers at one time ... like Neil's suggestion of using wire ... time to get another I think. Congratulations to all the candy winners. Take care and have a good week. Elizabeth x #96

Oh I’m sorry to hear that your daughter is still not well but at least they know exactly what it is now and can treat it accordingly. I hope she’s on the mend soon.

It’s good to hear your mojo has returned and you’re creating again.

I had one of those flower wheel thingies back in the 70’s and made lots of shawls with them. They were all the rage to wear around your shoulders when going out in the evening back then………..showing my age now, Lol!.

Happy Crafting!

I can understand you getting rather cross with your poor daughter's school, especially as she has been so poorly. Our grandson had a bad time last year with frequent tummy bugs etc, and his Mum got so much hassle, to the extent that he was determined to get 100% attendance in the Christmas term. The school suffered though, as he was violently sick all over the classroom floor, so they had to clear it up. Then he had probably passed the germs to all those around him, just in time for Christmas. I do hope your daughter is starting to feel a little better, but she needs to take it really carefully for quite a while. Congratulations to your lucky winners. xx Maggie #105

Sorry to her your daughter is still not well. I can't believe the way your school is treating you. They should be more concerned with her health not a silly certificate.

Your desk looks really busy and I can't wait to see how the altered books come out when you finish them. That gravy tin has me interested too, hope you show what you do to it.

Have a great week and I hope your daughter gets better soon.

I love the altered books! I'm so sorry your daughter has Salmonella poisoning! That's so awful! I'm hoping the very best for her. It's such a bummer schools can't be more understanding of illness. Sending you some love!

Oh Jude - what a mess with your daughter. I do hope you get things sorted pretty quick with regards to her health and stuff the school - she is ill and that is that! Worrying enough she is like she is without outsiders making it worse.
Love your desk shots.

I recognise WOYWWer names as winners, am really happy for them, what a generous soul you are Jude. Dont get too frustrated by school, they have to prove her absence is authorised or they get into trouble fromthe LEA for not taking action, its a big old merry go round. Am glad that your DD has a diagnosis and is being cared for, poor thing, it's a long haul.
