The image is from a Rak i have coloured with copics ,Papers are from "Papermania" "Home for the Holidays these papers i adore lovely quality and excellent to work with.The sentiment is from K&CO,flowers and leaves from Prima. Anita's border glitterations in green .I have used the same papers inside the card with K&CO christmas embellishment with sentiment.

This card was made in arush on returning from my hols ,it was on my to do list before going away but never got done.So im not very pleased as i had to rush a card so much going on at the minute time was against me.Plus since coming back from hols i think my mojo has gone on his....lol!!!

My Winning Prize

I have finally managed to get my post all sorted since arriving back.Look what has arrived my prize from the copic challenge i won .Wow what a prize thanks to the sponsors "Peachy keen stamps"must say i hadnt heard of them until i won but boy theres some amazing stamps .Now i need to find time between hospital opds,my operation and my daughters also going in for operation to get to play with them .
I also had my 2 stamps arrive from"inky Impression"too,then no doubt next week my woj stamps will turn up all these things no time to play ,it's like a child in sweet shop all those sweets and cant get to eat em....lol.nearly forgot my christmas sarah Kay set will be arriving soon too they are just the cutest stamps youve ever seen.At least i will have avariety of new stamps to craft with as have my hands full with raising money for Alzehimers so please see post below if interested in helping make crafty goods .

Just quick note to say thanks for the response to Alzheimers funding that i am trying to raise .To all those who have promised to make something towards this good cause.
As you know mum's in a home and they are desperate for funding to help the patients that stay there mum being one of them.So i have now started crafting to sell to make funds for this worthy cause .All craft items donated and made by me will be sold at the various coffee mornings and Christmas Bazaars .anything from cards,packs tags,notelet sets,altered art ,note books anything will be sold and funds will be used towards hydro therapy and outing for the residents as they dont get funding for this want to raise funds to be able the residence to have better recreational,and activity time at the same time helping them to do activities.

Alzheimers fund raising.....Mum's Birthday

Yesterday we went to celebrate mum's birthday and good time had by all such a sad and cruel disease .Don't honestly think mum had any clue to what was going on mind.The home had given us alounge and when we entered they had decorated with banners ,birthday cake ,bucks fizz,and lovely spread ,which we didnt expect at all or asked for.
As we were there i got to speak to one of the girls she is the lady who looks after there occupational needs and is trying to raise monies for hydro pool which in turn will help alot of the residence .So they are trying to do alot of fund raising.So when i get back ive promised to make cards and a few altered art items so they can sell to help fund raise .

All donations greatly accepted can be from cards to altered art ,decorated note books,jewelery anything that you think they can sell at forth coming fund raising coffee mornings ,bazzars that they have palnned between now and christmas.They are not given enough funding to spend on occupying the residence as it is .This i feel is one thing that Alzheimers patients benefit from having there mind occupied.The lady who is doing this Maureen has some fab ideas but just hasnt got the money to do this out of the budget they are given.

Well yesterday i met my good friend June in Darlington Town for a cuppa and natter and went to craft shop too.It was lovely to see her again and we are hoping to meet up again before i return home to Norfolk in a weeks time.We had lovely time a good giggle and of course yes crafty chat ,then went to a pub for quick soft drink and ended up crafting on the table!!!! how bad are we......lol
Thankyou June for my wee present it is lovely she has made me a lovely braclet love the colours thanks hun as didnt open till i got home.Im going to pop over now to her blog to see if she has uploaded her we gift from me......i will upload piccy when i get home.

Well after the hurrendous start to our wee trip up north safely say things have improved even the weather!Yesterday we ,(me & girls)spent the day being pampered at the hair salon so relaxing didnt realise how long my hair had got....after having 5 ins off im pleased with out come.
Friday im hopefully meeting up with my good friend June so watch out Darlo craft shops !!!Then various other trips planned one being York as promised to girls.
Do miss my craft stuff but hey making up for it in shopping....lol

Hello from the north

Well what astart to our holiday we left early friday morning 5.30am.Got onto a1 heading up north to york as i was taking girls for w/end as theyve never been .But and a big BUT we never made it !As were going along A1 the battery light came on,so we got off next exit and drove through village heading for melton.The next thing every light on dash board came on we just made alayby and that was it!car wouldnt start it had died.So rang Bmw by now watching the sunset rise in a feild in Epingham not a clue where we were ,here's were the fun started. The insurance we have with BMW was invalid for road side as we found out on the phone,because we had taken car for service else where & not BMW. As you can image we were furious as not told any of this at time of taking it out last October when we bought car.We had no other choice but to phone and join the AA. As they new we were stranded couldnt go anywhere we joined AA cost us £192.68pby debit card on the spot.......... they arent daft are they.
Well we had to wait for an hour for him to get out ,he came nice guy towed us to Leicester never been there dont think wanna go back either.towed us to garage as they had the part well turned out the wrong part as our Alternater had gone!We spent 2 hours whilst the guy tried his best to get the right one eventually failed .So we had to ring AA back they said they would tow us to Darlington.I then had to cancel hotel for weekend at York so girls not happy bunnies.The only good thing the hotel didnt charge us so we didnt loose are money which was good thing.
After sitting around for a further 2hrs 30mins tow truck arrived ,could believe this only went 20mins down road and he had to have 45 min break so had to stop sit around for 45mins then on our way.We then had to stop at ferrybridge as this AA guy couldnt take us any further as with the new tracking he would have done over his hours.So again unloaded car off truck sat at ferry bridge for further 3 hours until tow truck came we eventually got to the garage in Darlington where we met my dad at 20.50hrs. After along old eventful day spent waitng around most of it.
Now the car is in gargae and cant do anything until monday when Andy is surpose to be driving back to norfolk as hes at work Tuesday .
So that was are exciting start to weekend, but this am i am ringing Bmw having ago at them as cant find anywhere in policy that says you have to get service and mot at bmw garage for insurance to be valid.
So we never got to Yorkbut have promised girls will take them for day from here.As you can image all that waiting around ,standing ect did nothing for my fibro or ME/cfs and saturday spent in bed so tired and unable to move due to aches and pains
Fingers crossed holiday improves no more hicups!!!lol

Last Challenge Before Going Away....BLOG CANDY

This is my last challenge card or post until i get back off my hols on 17th August i have so much still to do and leave very early friday morning.

I will miss entering and crafting always do when im away.Yesterday i got a new laptop oh so cutie it is i will post some piccys on my return it's toshiba !!I was desperate for new one and well hubby treated me sooooo exciting like child in sweet shop.Now i just have to look forward to coming home transfering all my soft ware and data oh what a joy that will be!...lol.

Yesterday found out my wee biscuit tin i altered is in the final of challenge 30 over on the Trimmie forum(known as dragonflycrafts) so im excited first ever time ive been in final...whey hey...

To alter A Paper Bag.

Well i know it's alittle early but following the success of the past 2 years "Halloween Parties"weve had i deceided this year to make the invite and incorporate it into this monthas challenge by making it out of a Paper bag.

It has a pocket at the side which a tag is enclosed the wording on the tag is the address and details of the party.

The paper bag is from my craft stash as i make paper bag albums alot.these were originally bought from USA and are A& L free which you dont often find.

I hope you like my card at first craft mojo had disappeared so used to doing the usual shaped cards this seemed to be a challenge .But i made it and got there in the end.

The Next Level; this week is a Sketch that i have based my card on.

The Pink Elephant ;Colour Combo of Red ,Light Blue & Darker Blue.

the papers i have used are absolutely fab freebies from the Cardmaking &papercrafts mag a few weeks ago.Prima Flowers,and Roses & leaves from Poppiecrafts,Ribbon ,Gems and sentiment from my crafty stash.Both circular die cuts from craftworks.Pleaseexcuse the photo my camera is playing up again!

One Card 2 challenges.

I have made my very first 8x8 card and yes it's a christmas one again oh boy is my christmas card stash growing thanks to sooo many fab challenges .

The papers i have used are my fav's from the DaisyD's Premium Collection,Prima flowers from various collections,Green pearl brads are Papermania,and xmas gift brads are fromPoppicrafts.The stamped images are Magnolia's just adore these for christmas and winter time ,coloured with water colours,copics,and glamour dust.ribbon from stash and Border glitterations red from Anita's 3d dimensions collection 2009.

So the challenges i am entering this card for are

Pile it on!; Is a Sketch ....which is what the card layout is based on plus another challenge which is

Winter Wonderland ; Theme is....Christmas presents .

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue....... it does not necessarily mean you have to make a wedding card.... - something old could be something you have had in your stash which you have not used for a long time- something new - a new stamp, paper - anything new in your stash- something borrowed - a borrowed stamp from a friend, or even an element ie. embellishment "borrowed" off a card you have made before- something blue - there has to be something on your card, which needs to be Blue......

Secret Crafter Challenge 40

This week over at the Secret Crafter saturday challenge is a sketch.I have used this sketch to make a christmas card .
Papers & Sentiment; Christmas collection"A Writers Tale"Daisy &Dandelion Collection.,The image was from a swap and have coloured that in with copics,have used sakura glear gel pen and added some Crystal Glamour dust.Gems are from papermania christmas collection.Pointsettais from my crafty stash from christmas last year.Also used was Anita's christmas 3d border gliterations in red and green.Hope you like my take on the sketch.
