Dt post for It's Crafting Time

My Dt project this week i have created a Steampunk creation.I have used Wendy Vecchi's art Parts made into a small frame.I distressed the parts with Antique Linen.I have used old Paper from a Dictionary to cover the centre and also distressed that.The image used is from Denzinaworld where images are Free/ Or Small Donation.I have added glossy accents to his hat to give depth and 3d look.Stamped out the clock background using a free stamp from a magazine in Archival /black,then distressed the edges with Antique Linen,Covered with a clock charm from my stash.I have added Computer generated sentiment"Time Waits For No Man"
Which is distressed with antique linen also.The metal Filigree corners are from the Funkie Junkie shop.Tim Holtz ideology clasp and chain and sprogats.The large key also is from my own stash.The letters are peel offs which were silver,but i have altered with
with copper Alcohol inks.

Simon says Stamp and Show,Sarah's Monthly Mojo March

Well im back today with a couple of items i stated altering on Monday.The first is over at Simon Says Stamp and Show.This weeks theme is Bottle it.Well hubby got alovely set of flavoured syrups for Christmas from costa .So i pinched the bottles .Here are two ive decorated using the Wendy Vecchic Fauux Galzed Crackle Technique.Which really impressed with and would use again.I first washed the bottles got labels off.They ahve a slight pattern on but To be sure the crackle stuck i uses Glue and seal coverd both bottles in this .Then waited waited until it had dries,then i began with the Distressed crackle Paint.I layered it on thick as i wanted to see the cracks more.I also dripped some down the side of each bottle.After waiting for over hour for all to dry ..so inpatient when it comes to drying time..lol
I then used Archival plum ink all over the bottle once .The other one i used Distress stains Vintage Photo,Then went over the cracks with vintage distress ink.

I added a label and stamped happiness in picket fence added an image of a vintage lady.To the bottle and made a charm togo around the top of the bottle .added a wee lace embroidered flower bouquet where she was holding one.You can see to the right of the bottle my wee drip.

The vintage photo i added some beaded ribbon on the bottom of the bottle and a lovely filigree metal butterfly to which added pearls.To the top i had some ribbon fringe with dangling beads.
Here's close up hopefully yopu can see how well the crackle came out and drips.I absolutely love this technique and would recommend anyone to try.This is my first attempt but im will be using again!

Sarah's Monthly Mojo March

The theme this month is Vintage.So i have recycled a cigar box that was given to me in a swap.It is wooden.I first gessoed it and then painted it with Fresco paints Vintage .Then added Tattered Rose Distress Crackle paint sat and watched it dry ...oh so impatient when it comes to drying time .But sometimes i like to let them dry for a couple hours if not over night!

I then die cut some hard board to make my centre piece from and distressed that with tattered Rose inks..I then added a doiley to that stuck to the box with glue n seal.I wanted to make it look old /vintage and not just a white doiley,this way i got the effect i wanted.
My centre piece was a K &co chipboard embellishment.I added to that a metal oval with piccy of cameo on.
The flowers ,Leaves are from my stash and the large display with the beaded butterflies on i made and stuck down with the heat gun.The 2 pink roses on the chipboard centre piece i added Glossy accents to so i would get the 3d effect to give some dimension to them.

I then used my glue gun again to fix the vintage lace round the box and also the pipping around the top of the box all from my stash.(Im on use old stash up more in 2012)Ithen found this lovely wee porcelin rose which just went on the centre of the bottom of the box

Theen i used my new stash of New Prima papers "The Almanac Collection" and distressed the edges with tattered rose distress inks.

I hope youve enjoyed viewing at my creations as much as ive enjoyed creating them.Pop by both challenges why not have ago.

WOYWW........144.......Mojo Returned

Last weeks desk

This weeks desk!!!
Yes it's wednesday again boy doesnt it come round fast.Since aweek ago i think weve had every weather possible.From week past Sunday sitting in the garden drinking coffee ,no clouds in sight.To this sunday watching the dog in the gareden as the rain turns to Snow!!! Weird or what.Anyways doesnt matter what it's doing out there as it's Snope day and you can sit and keep warm drink coffee whilst you tour the world of crafty blogs .Thanks to the Lady herself M/S Julia
So my desk this week well yesterday after seeing Simon says challenge i had the urge to play ,and for past 2 days ive played ,got inky been away from my desk and come back.So it isnt as tidy as last week.But my mojo is slowly shall i say surfacing.I have been following the glass bottle crackle effect .Which are sat waitng to dry on my desk as i type this.

Also you will see the process of a recycled cigar box being turned into shabby /chic,vintage.That is also waitng for bits to be dried....You will see in the above piccy the bottles ive crackled and stained one with distress inks and stains.Sticking out of it is a wooden stick yep..these come from costa coffee the ones you stir your sugar with ..Oh as well as the coffee being good so are these sticks .So useful im always picking afew extras up!

This is the bit im waiting to dry on my box .This is for a swap im doing in Swapbot .Not sure wether many of you are members but loads swaps take place.But this is a group swap yep Tim Holtz lovers...So once this is completeed i will post about it until then just have to wait till it dries ...im so inpatient when i have to wait for things to dry ...not soon enough for my like-ing.

Last week i managed to get around most of you but verification and my eyes don't mix...lolThere was still acouple i couldnt get into.I will try my best this week im out this morning at the bank hoping to see if we can get some of our money back.So fingers crossed!it would be nice.Although end last week i was naughty and well had a spend as was fed up mojo wasnt around ,plus had to co on Anti -b's for chest infection that turned into left lower lobe pneumonia.Have to say feeling much better at present fingers crossed it will stay that way.As todays my last anti-b,boy was it strong i had to take 2 tabs as soon as i got them then 1 tablet once aday which i thought was different!.
Hopefully the rest of my goodies should be here in next couple days .But i did receive the prima 6x6 paper pad the "Almanac Collection"Which have to say are lush!

Anyways have creative week and fab wednesday.keep warm and safe and hopefully you will avoid these colds that we seem to pick up far to often as there's some nasty bugs around!

Dt Post for It's Crafting Time..Altered Paper Mache Books

Gosh nearly forgota bout this post to upload,mind tooth ache and chest infection can cause you to forget.It was only when i saw the 3 books on a post in Woyww yesterday that it reminded me to upload my DT project for It's Crafting time blog.This week it was Distress inks .

Ive used various Distrss inks ,dried Marigold ,Spiced Marmalade,Frayad Burlup,and Fired Brick.I have really smooched the ink in with blending tool to get good coverage.I then used fired brick D/I on the binding of the book and edges.I have added a stamped image to the front done in distressed inks too .This image which was kindly given to me in a swap so unfortunately unsure of the name of the stamp or designer.Down the front and along the top i have used Kaiser Kraft paper with lines to make it look like a book .On the other side which for some reason photo has not uploaded is a sentiment from Tim Holtz stamp set "Just Saying".These are handy little books that can be filled with embellishments .Can be used and kept as wee storage or given out in a swap which this one will be filled with T/Holtz goodies the sent on it's way to my swap partner.

Now im entering this into My mojo monthly this is the first time and Sarah does a fab job of hosting this monthly.So i hope this is ok.im actually in the middle of my 2nd entry .My mojo slowly coming back after getting buried in the snow..lol
Well happy 1st March the first day of Spring!Must admit has been mild and warm .So hopefully will see the sun today.As so like springtime with the snowdrops,and my fav daffodils .So thats it Happy st Davids Day !Thanks for popping by!

WOYWW 143......Shock ,Horror....It's Tidy....

Oh my i hope your sitting down as boy you in for a shock...lol.Yes wednesday again so time to snoop around the craft desks of the world and see what everyone has been upto.So first pop along visit the Boss Julia and join in with this wednesday madness it's fab and addictive!

Yes i have actually done it the room of stash my craftroom is now tidy yes...you heard right it's TIDY......lol....All these photos ive just taken this evening to show you how clean my craftroom is and is going to STAY that way!.


There's no push to the left ....yeah no pile clear ,clean and tidy

No Push to the Right either Omg i can hear you say the girl has done it!Yep shes' done it!!!and still no mojo.....Not good is it ,ive looked in every box ,space and no mojo....to be found .Just have to wait for my Tim Holtz compendium vol 2 to arrive maybe i shall find my mojo in there!

Above piccy is an old spice rack thats been there awhile just not tidy or neat before.Now i have my Distress bottle inks and sticklers.In front of that my scorpal tape and my pen and tool holder.My light has my pocket watch few clips hanging.

This piccy above is of the far side wall housing my draws ontop draws items ive made and lucky enough to win.My vagabond and set draws with charms /ideology bits in .Along from that my chest and frame i was sent with basket flowers hanging from the wall.I also at long last fixed my board to the wall which at the moment has my tags from tims 12 tags and Funkie junkies tags from dec2011.The piccy below still the same side but showing my carousel all tidy.Plus my stamping folders.

This is my paper shelf below with my jars flowers colour coded. Also altered Paint tin which holds my small roses ,leaves and other bud flowers.Ontop of that is a hanger which i received in my craftbarn candy i won before christmas .Yes i had forgotten about it and boy did i get shock when i found this box under the desk full of goodies id won from the craftbarn which i had forgotten i hadnt put away.My two Tim Holtz cases, large full of distress inks,stains,glimmer mists ,paint dabbers ect.The smaller one is have to say full of more ideology bits n pieces as well as charms.The small red box you can see has got a couple of Easter creations i never finished from last year ,and some empty bottles i need to wash out so i can reuse.

All the draws have been emptied sorted and i just have 1 more to sort through thats my Tim Holtz ,vintage ,emphera and steampunk draw,which is jammed packed full.
I don't think ive done too bad as ive had his rotten tooth ache on anti-b's now go back next week to dentist.But sticken cold i just can't shift now left me with sore chest!Never mind .

Friday we got called into Sophie's school for meeting and was amazed at the way they treated us for once !(only since the Gp spoke on the phone nd sent letter)We have now got the opd through to see the consultant on 19th march .Sophie misses school and it was deceided that she would go back 2 days aweek if she was feeling ok?that would be tuesday and friday .Also she would only have 2 lessons in moring and then have sleep/rest time and 3 further lessons.Well yesterday she felt upto it, so she went but by 11am she was absolutely shattered but carried on for whole day even if her form tutor told her she looked pale and ill and shouldnt be in ...that realy cheers you up.Since arriving home and having bite to eat .Since 6pm she is fast asleep on the sofa where i am leaving her.

We had to go get a pair school trouses saturday couldnt believe she's gone down to size 8 from 14-16.This does concern me the amount shes loosing and how ghastly she looks .All we can do know is continue with meds and await the outcome on the 19th .Not long to go i surpose as 1st March tomorrow think i slept through feb...lol.Here's praying March is the turn and we have some good luck coming are way ..i live in hope!

WOYWW 142...........A mess Still....lol

Morning all welcome to another Wednesday and gosh we shall soon be into March.Anyways it's snoop snoop time so get yourself over to Julia's blog and join in!I first apologise if i didnt get round to you and for the first time since joining this few years now .It 's the first time ive not got to you all so im so sorry .But life has been pure crap for me since Dec27th when my daughter fell illl,and now been referred at last to the consultant at the hospital.They say things come in 3's but i think since beginning of jan we seem to be having run bad luck now upto 12's ...lol.

My desk and craftroom pretty much the same as last week ....yes if you wondering why see post below.....Im off to the dentist today so i will be away this morning but i will try get round you all even if it takes me to next wednesday...lol

I still have my abcess this is first opd ive been able to make so have been rough and pill popping since last wed!!!Now top it all my Darling youngest daughter has passed her cold onto me which has triggered my ME off in an acute satge......I keep telling her i love you but you needn't share everything with me...lol

Well i had to cheer myself up and yes yesterday my hero Sir Tim just did that not that my bank account would agree but well just had too .Agirl needs cheer up after so much bad luck ..Sont ya agree????Im sure i wasnt the only one to have a wee spend ..come on own up!!!

As you see same pretty much as last weeks desk just havent had time or inclination to do a thing.Maybe this week things settle down i hope and you will be amazed at the transformation!...yeah right..lol we shall see. thankyou to all messages received and emails nice to know ive been missed means a lot and your thoughtful words.

Just to say Hi im still here.......i think??

Thought i better pop by and say hi ive still not got round my bloggin friends from last Wednesdays Woyww.Add to that my craftroom is the same state it is in previous post.I have still got abcess in tooth would you believe dont go till wednesday my dentist has left.Then i had funnyturn friday night thought i had had some kind stroke right side went just as opening cooker door to get tea .Yep smash bang glass everywhere.Then did nothing saturday apart from take pain killers for tooth and rt arm.Then yesterday ended up it was my baby boy "Bobbie"(Our Westie to those who dont know) 's 2nd birthday.....Having lovely lazy day when my youngest fell down our stairs ended up in A & E ..luckily she's not broken her ankle just done the ligaments soo lucky and bruised body and ego....Then on the way back hubby driving this huge deer /stag jumped outfrom know where ..omg my heart was in my mouth to say the least....so past few days have been nightmare im hoping now the bad luck has finished they say comes in 3's we are upto 12 yesterday...lol.

So you can see why ive not had much time and of course had to sort the bank out as someone got into the account skimmed the card.Lost lot money which may not get back .Now the hassels been sorting new account and direct debits phone calls ect.So i will be back soon ive had few emails people worried as i havent been on so thankyou for your kindness and nice to know ive been missed...

Woyww......Not just on the Work Desk........

Well it's wednesday yet again time seems to fly by so quickly.That means wednesday time to travel the world of craftiness.We start from the creator herself Ms Julia's blog Well what a cold and snowy week yes still looking for my mojo under the remnants of snow lying about.Still no joy.Even with the fab news of Tims 12 Tags of 2012 starting nope nothing .i have entered the tag i made before loosing my mojo.See post below!

So no more room to push to the right or push to the left !just drop to the floor!So had this great ,fabtastico idea that was about time i sorted my craftroom out ....Yep you heard well the piccy below is where one has started to sort through the corner to the right of my desk.That was till i got this cracking alien growing out the side of my cheek...no not a zit be happy if it was ,another tooth abscess.Well gone the spring clean and i havent even started yet .But when you see the following piccies..... boy have i got along way to go.Im hoping all the stuff i forgot i had will spur my mojo back into full flow..... Ive started so i will finish hopefully by weekend.....

Happy Valentines Day

Good morning all, hope it's warmer where you are ,still got the aftermath of the snow .The temperatures have gotton alittle warmer not much i think instead being minus 8 we are plus 2 !!!huge jump it's frezing.Anyway i have made this Valentine tag for my DT project over at i'ts crafting time.This week it's diecuts .I have used the ones that came in my dt package check out the shop for all designs Here.

I recycled another cereal box and used that to cut the tim holtz tag die from his alterations set.I then covered the tag with some designer paper i made from a marbling set ive had for years .Im not impessed had to waste alot ...lol but im gonna try again as i do like the effect.Even though got totaly messy and inky!The smallest diecut i distressed with festive berries ink. From Tim Holtz seasonal set.I then stuck that to the larger doilie die cut.,added some red weave.Distressed the die cut heart that was also in my DT package.Used the same distress ink and then stamped in black arcchival the Love,Love Love stamp from the "LA Compagine des elfes"which i totaly love.Added few buttons and beautiful a flower from The funkie Junkie esty. shop.http://www.itscraftingtime.co.uk/I Stamped in the in Red festive berries ink LoveStamp from my stash,onto a Tim Holtz Ticket Attached to the flower .To finish off added loades red pink ribbons and raffia from my stash.the cherub charm was from the works. I am also entering this into Tim Holtz 12 tags 2012 .
So i hope you like my creation to you all Happy Valentines Day.

Woyww...140......Just a mess minus mojo

Well Happy Woyww140...From the Frozen Norfolk minus 6 at moment freeezing..brrrhh.But dont worry today is Wednesday our trip around the world's crafty desks .To see whose been sunbathing ,skiing or even maybe crafting ..now theres a thought .So if you wanna join in please pop by the queen her self Ms Julia's Blog and join in.

Well this is my desk thought id make it awee bit tidy for you.As you will see in the next two photos .A quick tidy is a push to the right and push to the left!Ahh thats what makes my tiny tiny tidy work space...lol.There in the above piccy you will see ,apart from the tag i have started .But im afraid to say the Snow came and minus Temps and my Mojo has disappeared...So not happy mind prob in good way as my back not good but still need mojo as i could ,pace myself to do wee bit at a time .Couple projects need to be done by sunday!

Yeah sheer mayhem this week folks no mojo ,no energy.Back to drs tomorrow with daughter had phone call this evening to say Sophie's dr will be off sick from 3 weeks so theyve booked her in with another!I just hope he reads all the notes shes made re sophie on the computer.

Apart from that not much else going on .I think my mojo has done a runner as my craftroom is too untidy for him...lol

Sunday Stampers Challenge...Hearts OH Snow TOO

Good Morning from Snowy Norfolk where it's just started again!Bobbie is in Heaven Both yesterday and today !I thought he was white but against the snow .....oh boy he sure aint!
Piccy of some of my back Garden so tranquil and freezing -4 at the moment here!

Now onto Hels lovely weekly Sunday Stampers Challenge .This week is "Hearts"yep the month of Loveeeeeeeeeeeee!Well i am still making Steampunk tags for a swap this is the last one .I had finished it on Friday Night but just hadnt got time to upload .As having trouble with back pain!So here it is.

I have used the Tim Holtz tag Die and coloured with Distress Stains Vintage Photo.I have then stamped Tim Holtz stamp from stuff to say in Archival Plum.Then i have added another wonderful; image from Dezinaworld from steampunk sheet.after cutting out ive added the lovely Ribbon gathered to make a skirt ,added metal charm heart.The corner charms are from the Funkue Junkie ESTY shop.The sentiment is from computer.Added the crownmetal charm and gems from my stash.

Well im staying in keeping warm darent go out as like sheet ice all the 4ins snow is pure ice.

Bobbie well he'd be out there all day if he had his wish!
